Educational Qualification (Expected as per Sangathan Norms)

• Principal: Master Degree from a recognized university with minimum prescribed percentage (around 45%–50%), B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution, plus required teaching and school administrative experience.
• PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): Two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in concerned subject OR Master Degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate, plus B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• PGT Computer Science: B.E. / B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science / IT) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
• TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Four-year integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in concerned subject with 50% marks OR Bachelor Degree in Arts / Science in relevant subject combinations with minimum 50% marks, plus B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution.
• Art Teacher: Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts from a recognized university or institution.
• Physical Education Teacher (PET): Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognized university.
• Computer Teacher: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science or IT, or BCA / B.Sc in Computer Science from a recognized university.

Language Proficiency Requirement

• Candidates must be able to teach in both English and Odia medium.
• Candidates must have passed Odia language examination up to Class 10 / ME standard as prescribed by the Government of Odisha.

Age Limit & Relaxations

• Principal Posts: Minimum 32 years and maximum 50 years.
• All Teaching Posts (PGT, TGT, Specialist Teachers): Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years.
• Category Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC / ST / SEBC / Women candidates and 10 years for PwBD candidates will be granted as per Odisha Government reservation rules.

Salary & Pay Scale

• PGT (All Subjects): Pay Matrix Level-11 (Basic Pay starting around ₹47,600/- plus standard state allowances).
• TGT (All Subjects): Pay Matrix Level-10 (Basic Pay starting around ₹44,900/- plus admissible government allowances).
• Specialist Teachers (Art, PET, Computer Teacher): Level-9 / Level-10 as per official appointment order.

Selection Process

The recruitment of Principals and Teachers in OAVS will be completed through three transparent stages:
