Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF Ltd.), a Government of India Navratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), has published the official notification for the recruitment of 326 Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The engagement includes Graduate Apprentice (145 posts), Technician Apprentice (105 posts), and Trade Apprentice (76 posts) for training at RCF’s Trombay (Mumbai) and Thal (Raigad District, Maharashtra) units for the financial year 2026-27. Category-Wise Reservation Break-Up

Note: Reservation is as per Government of India directives. A 5% marks relaxation in final selection criteria may be provided to SC/ST and PwBD candidates as per applicable guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria – Qualifications & Conditions

• Regular Course Only: Qualifications must be from Government-recognized Universities/Institutes, completed as regular full-time courses. Distance Learning / Part-Time / Correspondence mode qualifications are strictly NOT eligible.
• Allied Branches: Allied branches of Diploma in Engineering are NOT acceptable.
• Prior Experience / Apprenticeship: Candidates who have completed Act Apprentice training or have ≥1 year of prior job experience, or are currently pursuing higher studies, are NOT eligible.
• Passing Certificate Date: The passing certificate/final year mark sheet must be dated on or after 01 July 2023. Minimum percentage is calculated on the final year or aggregate of the last two semesters.
• B.Sc (PCM) Specialization:
  • With Chemistry as major: Eligible only for Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) and Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) under RDSDE scheme.
  • With Physics as major: Eligible only for Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant) under RDSDE scheme.
• Graduates with Biology: Candidates with Biology in graduation (only Zoology or only Botany) may apply for Secretarial Assistant or Recruitment Executive (HR) Graduate Apprentice posts.

• Maximum Age (UR / General): 25 Years (for all trades)

Monthly Stipend & Additional Benefits

Stipend is paid in accordance with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region), Mumbai notification (BOAT WR/2026/529, dated 25.09.2019):

• Free Meals: Morning breakfast, tea, and vegetarian lunch thali in the company canteen during training days (no cash reimbursement if not availed).
• Medical Facilities: OPD-basis medical treatment at RCF Hospital for trainees themselves.
• Uniform & PPE: Safety equipment and uniform provided as per company policy.
• Note: No transportation facility, accommodation, or travel reimbursement is provided.

Daily Training Timing & Posting Details

Posting & Attendance: Candidates must choose Trombay (Mumbai) or Thal (Raigad) during the application; the location is strictly non-transferable. Attendance is tracked through a Face Recognition-based Attendance System.

Selection Process – Merit-Based (No Exam / No Interview)

Selection is entirely merit-based with no written examination or interview:

1. Merit List Preparation: Prepared on the basis of percentage marks obtained in the prescribed essential educational qualification (final year or aggregate of last two semesters).
2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from the merit list will be invited for physical document verification.
3. Apprenticeship Contract Approval: Final appointment is subject to successful DV and approval of the Apprenticeship Contract on NATS (for Graduate/Technician) or NAPS (for Trade) portals.

At Document Verification Stage

• Latest passport-size colour photographs
• Original PAN card & Aadhaar card (name on Aadhaar must match all educational certificates)
• Self-operated, Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled primary bank account (not Postal Bank) for stipend credit
• All semester/year-wise mark sheets & passing certificates of qualifying examination
• Age proof: SSC certificate / Birth certificate / School leaving certificate / Passport

At Final Reporting Stage (If Selected)

• Leaving certificates for SSC, HSC, and Graduation (with Student ID)
• All educational mark sheets & certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation – all semesters)
• University certificate for equivalent percentage formula (if CGPA/CPI grading system)
• Medical fitness certificate from Registered Medical Officer of Govt/Municipal Hospital (Annexure A format)
• Caste certificate (SC/ST – Annexure B / OBC-NCL Central Govt format / EWS certificate)
• Certificate for children/family members of 1984 riot victims (if applicable)

   • Technician & Graduate Apprentices: Register as a student on the NATS portal: nats.education.gov.in.

3. Go to RECRUITMENT > ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES – 2026-27.
4. Read terms & conditions, click I Accept and open the Online Application Form.
5. Select your preferred posting unit (Trombay or Thal) – cannot be changed later.
6. Upload scanned photograph (JPG/JPEG, ≤75 KB) and scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, ≤25 KB).
7. Fill in personal, educational, category, and portal registration numbers accurately.
8. Click SAVE / SUBMIT and print the generated application form for DV stage.

Important Instructions & Rules

• Candidates must apply for only ONE discipline/trade. Submitting multiple applications will lead to rejection of all applications.
• No Regular Employment Obligation: RCF has no obligation to offer regular or permanent employment to apprentices during or after training; apprentices have no right or claim to regular absorption.
• No hard copies need to be dispatched by post to RCF at the application stage.
