Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a university or institution recognised by a State Government or the Government of India. A degree in another branch of engineering will not be accepted as an equivalent qualification.
Odia Language Requirement
Knowledge of Odia is mandatory. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must satisfy at least one of the following conditions:
- Passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject.
- Passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of examination in a non-language subject.
- Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a recognised school or educational institution.
- Passed the Odia language test at Middle English School standard conducted by the relevant Odisha authority.
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026)
The prescribed age limit is 21 to 42 years as on 1 January 2026. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of a Written examination and a Personality test or interview.
- Paper I: General Engineering (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Paper II: Agricultural Processing, Food Engineering and Soil-Water Conservation Engineering (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Personality Test: 25 marks
